2021-08-02qede: fix crash in rmmod qede while automatic debug collectionPrabhakar Kushwaha
A crash has been observed if rmmod is done while automatic debug collection in progress. It is due to a race condition between both of them. To fix stop the sp_task during unload to avoid running qede_sp_task even if they are schedule during removal process. Most users of ndo_do_ioctl are ethernet drivers that implement the MII commands SIOCGMIIPHY/SIOCGMIIREG/SIOCSMIIREG, or hardware timestamping with SIOCSHWTSTAMP/SIOCGHWTSTAMP. Separate these from the few drivers that use ndo_do_ioctl to implement SIOCBOND, SIOCBR and SIOCWANDEV commands. This is a purely cosmetic change intended to help readers find their way through the implementation. 2021-07-26net/qla3xxx: fix schedule while atomic in ql_wait_for_drvr_lock and ↵Letu Ren
ql_adapter_reset When calling the 'ql_wait_for_drvr_lock' and 'ql_adapter_reset', the driver has already acquired the spin lock, so the driver should not call 'ssleep' in atomic context. 2021-06-24qede: Remove rcu_read_lock() around XDP program invocationToke Høiland-Jørgensen
The qede driver has rcu_read_lock()/rcu_read_unlock() pairs around XDP program invocations. However, the actual lifetime of the objects referred by the XDP program invocation is longer, all the way through to the call to xdp_do_flush(), making the scope of the rcu_read_lock() too small. This turns out to be harmless because it all happens in a single NAPI poll cycle (and thus under local_bh_disable()), but it makes the rcu_read_lock() misleading. Rather than extend the scope of the rcu_read_lock(), just get rid of it entirely. With the addition of RCU annotations to the XDP_REDIRECT map types that take bh execution into account, lockdep even understands this to be safe, so there's really no reason to keep it around. 2021-06-17net: qed: Fix memcpy() overflow of qed_dcbx_params()Kees Cook
The source (&dcbx_info->operational.params) and dest (&p_hwfn->p_dcbx_info->set.config.params) are both struct qed_dcbx_params (560 bytes), not struct qed_dcbx_admin_params (564 bytes), which is used as the memcpy() size. However it seems that struct qed_dcbx_operational_params (dcbx_info->operational)'s layout matches struct qed_dcbx_admin_params (p_hwfn->p_dcbx_info->set.config)'s 4 byte difference (3 padding, 1 byte for "valid"). On the assumption that the size is wrong (rather than the source structure type), adjust the memcpy() size argument to be 4 bytes smaller and add a BUILD_BUG_ON() to validate any changes to the structure sizes. 2021-05-13qlcnic: Add null check after calling netdev_alloc_skbTom Seewald
The function qlcnic_dl_lb_test() currently calls netdev_alloc_skb() without checking afterwards that the allocation succeeded. Fix this by checking if the skb is NULL and returning an error in such a case. Because of recent interactions with developers from @umn.edu, all commits from them have been recently re-reviewed to ensure if they were correct or not. Upon review, this commit was found to be incorrect for the reasons below, so it must be reverted. It will be fixed up "correctly" in a later kernel change. We want to change the current ndo_xdp_xmit drop semantics because it will allow us to implement better queue overflow handling. This is working towards the larger goal of a XDP TX queue-hook. Move XDP_REDIRECT error path handling from each XDP ethernet driver to devmap code. According to the new APIs, the driver running the ndo_xdp_xmit pointer, will break tx loop whenever the hw reports a tx error and it will just return to devmap caller the number of successfully transmitted frames. It will be devmap responsibility to free dropped frames.
