2025-03-18wifi: mwifiex: Fix premature release of RF calibration data.Jeff Chen
This patch resolves an issue where RF calibration data was being released before the download process. Without this fix, the external calibration data file would not be downloaded at all. 2025-03-18wifi: mwifiex: Fix HT40 bandwidth issue.Jeff Chen
This patch addresses an issue where, despite the AP supporting 40MHz bandwidth, the connection was limited to 20MHz. Without this fix, even if the access point supports 40MHz, the bandwidth after connection remains at 20MHz. This issue is not a regression. 2025-03-18wifi: iwlwifi: mld: iwl_mld_remove_link can't failMiri Korenblit
iwl_mld_remove_link removes the link from both the FW and from the driver. If removing it from the FW failed, we assume that the FW is dead anyway and remove it from the driver as well. On the other hand, we still return an error value, indicating the caller (i.e. mac80211) that the link couldn't be removed - while it was actually removed. Later, mac80211 might tell the driver again to remove that link, and then the driver will warn that it doesn't exist. Fix this by making iwl_mld_remove_link a void function. 2025-03-17wifi: ath12k: add get_txpower mac opsAditya Kumar Singh
Driver does not support get_txpower mac ops because of which cfg80211 returns vif->bss_conf.txpower to user space. bss_conf.txpower gets its value from ieee80211_channel->max_reg_power. However, the final txpower is dependent on few other parameters apart from max regulatory supported power. It is the firmware which knows about all these parameters and considers the minimum for each packet transmission. All ath12k firmware reports the final TX power in firmware pdev stats which falls under fw_stats. add get_txpower mac ops to get the TX power from firmware leveraging fw_stats and return it accordingly. While at it, there is a possibility that repeated stats request WMI commands are queued to FW if mac80211/userspace does get tx power back to back(in Multiple BSS cases). This could potentially consume the WMI queue completely. Hence limit this by fetching the power only for every 5 seconds and reusing the value until the refresh timeout or when there is a change in channel. Also remove init_completion(&ar->fw_stats_complete) in ath12k_mac_hw_register() as ath12k_fw_stats_init() takes care of it for each ar. Currently, firmware stats, comprising pdev, vdev and beacon stats are part of debugfs. In firmware pdev stats, firmware reports the final Tx power used to transmit each packet. This report will feedback some basic information from firmware(PTA counter, report counter, mailbox counter etc). And the report version need to match driver & firmware both side. The original logic break the switch case logic before driver update the report version. It made the report can not be parsed correctly. Delete the break at the version 7 and 8. 2025-03-13wifi: rtw89: set force HE TB mode when connecting to 11ax APDian-Syuan Yang
Some of 11ax AP set the UL HE-SIG-A2 reserved subfield to all 0s, which will cause the 11be chip to recognize trigger frame as EHT. We propose a method to bypass the "UL HE-SIG-A2 reserved subfield" and always uses HE TB in response to the AP's trigger frame. 2025-03-13wifi: rtw89: 8922a: enable dynamic antenna gainKuan-Chung Chen
The 8922A now supports dynamic antenna gain. However, in firmware before v0.35.64.0, different transmit powers cannot be applied to each RF path. To comply with regulatory limits in these older firmware, the lower of the two requested transmit powers will be used for both paths when they differ. 2025-03-13wifi: rtw89: refine mechanism of TASKuan-Chung Chen
TAS state switching mechanism now incorporates the TX ratio as a decision parameter. The average power calculation has been improved by using a higher resolution conversion from dBm to linear. During scan or MCC operations, TAS state is forced to static SAR and suspend the average power calculation. Additionally, TAS window size depends on the regulatory domain and band to ensure compliance. TAS is enabled when permitted by the regulatory domain and is currently supported on the 8852CE. For debugging, add a flag to disable_dm that can stop TAS mechanism. 2025-03-12wifi: iwlwifi: Fix uninitialized variable with __free()Dan Carpenter
Pointers declared with the __free(kfree) attribute need to be initialized because they will be passed to kfree() on every return path. 2025-03-11wifi: iwlwifi: mld: avoid selecting bad linksMiri Korenblit
Currently, we don't select a link that wasn't heared in the last 5 seconds. But if the link started to suffer from missed beacons more recent than that, we might select this link even we really shouldn't, leading to a disconnection instead of a link switch. Fix this by checking if a link was heared in the last MLO scan, if not - don't include it in the link selection. Since we do an MLO scan on missed beacons, we will not hear that link in that scan, and won't select it. 2025-03-11wifi: iwlwifi: mld: fix bad RSSI handlingMiri Korenblit
If the RSSI is dropping to below the threshold, we need to do a MLO scan to try select a better link. This is true also if the connection doesn't have EMLSR capability, and also if we are in EMLSR. Fix the logic to always check the RSSI (and do a MLO scan if needed). 2025-03-11wifi: iwlwifi: mld: always do MLO scan before link selectionMiri Korenblit
According to the requirements, if the last scan isn't older than 20 seconds, we can use its results and do the link selection without scanning before. But this applies only when trying to get back to EMLSR, not if the link has bad RSSI/missed beacons. Since an MLO scan is cheap anyway, and results from 20 seconds before are really old, always scan before links switching. Refactor the setting of the A-MSDU maximal lengths as follows: - Move the setting of the maximal A-MSDU length in case of HT from TLC logic to the station logic as it is not related to TLC. - As long as the station is not associated, set RC A-MSDU maximal lengths to 1, to prevent iwlmld and mac80211 from building A-MSDUs. - Update the RC and the TID specific A-MSDU maximal lengths based on the FW TLC notifications.
