The RWE bit of the USB 2.0 PORTPMSC register is supposed to enable
remote wakeup for devices in the lower power link state L1. It has
nothing to do with the device suspend remote wakeup from L2. The RWE
bit is designed to be set once (when USB 2.0 LPM is enabled for the
port) and cleared only when USB 2.0 LPM is disabled for the port.
The xHCI bus suspend method was setting the RWE bit erroneously, and the
bus resume method was clearing it. The xHCI 1.0 specification with
errata up to Aug 12, 2012 says in section 4.23.5.1.1.1 "Hardware
Controlled LPM":
"While Hardware USB2 LPM is enabled, software shall not modify the
HIRDBESL or RWE fields of the USB2 PORTPMSC register..."
If we have previously enabled USB 2.0 LPM for a device, that means when
the USB 2.0 bus is resumed, we violate the xHCI specification by
clearing RWE. It also means that after a bus resume, the host would
think remote wakeup is disabled from L1 for ports with USB 2.0 Link PM
enabled, which is not what we want.
This patch should be backported to kernels as old as 3.2, that
contain the commit 65580b4321eb36f16ae8b5987bfa1bb948fc5112 "xHCI: set
USB2 hardware LPM". That was the first kernel that supported USB 2.0
Link PM.

In addition to the error statuses -ETIMEDOUT and -EPIPE, uhci_hub_control()
needs to return the length of copied buffer when appropriate, so that the
returned status of ->hub_control() in rh_call_control() in the USB core
HCD can be properly handled.
This patch also removes the OK() macro to make the code more readable.

If USB_FUNCTIONFS is selected without USB_FUNCTIONFS_ETH and
USB_FUNCTIONFS_RNIS, u_ether.h won't be included and then
USB_ETHERNET_MODULE_PARAMAETERS macro won't be available causing the

This patch adds support for isochronous out transfers to the HWA. The
primary changes are:
1. Add a isoc_pack_desc_urb field to struct wa_seg. This urb is used
to send the isochronous packet info message to the HWA which describes
the isoc data segment(s) that will be sent as the payload of the
transfer request.
2. Use the URB iso_frame_desc field to populate the isochronous packet
info message and data segments sent to the HWA.
3. After the data is sent and transfer result is returned from the
HWA, read the isoc packet status message from the HWA. The contents of
the isoc packet status message are used to set the iso_frame_desc
status and actual_length fields in the original isoc URB. This feature
required the addition of a some state tracking variables in struct wahc
so the dti_urb knows what type of packet it expects to receive next.

This patch changes ep maxpacket value from 512 to 1024, because it's needed
to handle interupt and isochronous endpoints in high-speed mode. This change
doesn't affect on driver functioning, because fifo size (3072) is still enough
for the maximum transaction payload (3*1024 for high-speed high-bandwidtch
endpoints).

struct otg_fsm may be embedded to device's context structure.
The callbacks may require pointer to struct otg_fsm to obtain
necessary data for its operation (example: regulator reference
for drv_vbus()).

When mounting a gadgetfs the following error message is seen:
$ modprobe gadgetfs
gadgetfs: USB Gadget filesystem, version 24 Aug 2004
$ mkdir /dev/gadget
$ mount -t gadgetfs none /dev/gadget
nop ci_hdrc.0: failed to start (null): -120
The error comes from gadgetfs_probe(), which returns -EISNAM (-120).
As Alan Stern explains[1], this is the normal behavior:
"It is a temporary measure, used only when the file system is set up
initially. The real bind routine is gadgetfs_bind(), which gets called
when userspace configures the gadget.
In short, this is how it is intended to work. It isn't a bug."

So in order to prevent the error message, do not report EISNAM as an error.

Modelling the RESET line as a regulator supply wasn't a good idea
as it kind of abuses the regulator framework and also makes adaptation
code more complex.
Instead, manage the RESET gpio line directly in the driver. Update
the device tree binding information.
This also makes us easy to migrate to a dedicated GPIO RESET controller
whenever it becomes available.

omap_get_control_dev() is being deprecated as it doesn't support
multiple instances. As control device is present only from OMAP4
onwards which supports DT only, we use phandles to get the
reference to the control device.
Also get rid of "ti,has-mailbox" property as it is redundant and
we can determine that from whether "ctrl-module" property is present
or not. Get rid of has_mailbox from musb_hdrc_platform_data as well.

multiple instances. As control device is present only from OMAP4
onwards which supports DT only, we use phandles to get the
reference to the control device.
As we don't support non-DT boot, we just bail out on probe
if device node is not present.

Add support for new device types and in the process rid of "ti,type"
device tree property. The correct type of device will be determined
from the compatible string instead.
Introduce a compatible string for each device type. At the moment
we support 4 types OTGHS, USB2, PIPE3 (e.g. USB3) and DRA7USB2.
Update DT binding information to reflect these changes.
Also get rid of omap_control_usb3_phy_power(). Just one function
i.e. omap_control_usb_phy_power() will now take care of all PHY types.

This patch adds an implementation for hwahc_op_get_frame_number. The
request is fulfulled by forwarding it to the lower hcd. This was done
because the GET_TIME request on the HWA requires sending an URB to the
HWA and waiting for the results which cannot be done in atomic context.

This patch modifies wa_urb_enqueue to return an error and not call the
urb completion routine if it failed to enqueue the urb because the HWA
device is gone. This prevents a stack overflow due to infinite
submit/complete recursion when unplugging the HWA while connected to a
HID device.

introduced a new AMD chipset type to filter AMD platforms with different
chipsets.
According to a recent thread [1], this patch updates SB800 prefetch routine
in AMD PLL quirk. And make it use the new chipset type to represent SB800
generation.

According to a recent thread [1], this patch updates USB subsystem hang
symptom quirk which is observed on AMD all SB600 and SB700 revision
0x3a/0x3b. And make it use the new chipset type to represent.
