This driver's remove path calls del_timer(). However, that function
does not wait until the timer handler finishes. This means that the
timer handler may still be running after the driver's remove function
has finished, which would result in a use-after-free.
Fix by calling del_timer_sync(), which makes sure the timer handler
has finished, and unable to re-schedule itself.

Since watchdog_ping_work is not freezable so that it maybe scheduled before
imx2_wdt_resume where watchdog clock enabled, hence, kernel will hang in
imx2_wdt_ping without clock, and then watchdog reset happen. Add clk_is_on
to prevent the above case by ignoring ping until watchdog driver resume
back indeed.

The mtx-1_wdt driver does not need the au1000.h header file.
Instead, the header file causes build errors, so drop it.
This change fixes multiple build errors, all in au1000.h. E.g.:

For Armv8.6, The frequency of CNTFRQ_EL0 is standardized to a
frequency of 1GHz, so Arm Base System Architecture 1.0[1] has
introduced watchdog revision 1 that increases the length the
watchdog offset register to 48 bit, while other operation of
the watchdog remains the same.
The driver can determine which version of the watchdog is
implemented through the watchdog interface identification
register (W_IID). If the version is 0x1, the watchdog
offset register will be 48 bit, otherwise it will be 32 bit.

Removed set timeout from the start WDT function. There is a function
defined to set the timeout. Hence no need to set the timeout again in
start function as the timeout would have been already updated
before calling the start/enable.

The pretimeout has to be updated to zero during the ISR of the
ThresHold interrupt. Else the TH interrupt would be triggerred for
every tick until the timeout.

The pre-timeout value to be programmed to the register has to be
calculated and updated for every change in the timeout value.
Else the threshold time wouldn't be calculated to its
corresponding timeout.

The pretimeout register has a default reset value. Hence
when a smaller WDT timeout is set which would be lesser than the
default pretimeout, the system behaves abnormally, starts
triggering the pretimeout interrupt even when the WDT is
not enabled, most of the times leading to system crash.
Hence an update in the pre-timeout is also required for the
default timeout that is being configured.

Pull ARM Nuvoton WPCM450 platform support from Arnd Bergmann:
"The Nuvoton WPCM450 BMC is an older chip based on the ARM926 CPU core
that remains in use on Supermicro X9 server boards among others.
Support gets added for a particular server board using this SoC along
with the basic platform bringup.
As the platform is a predecessor to the npcm7xx platform we already
support, it is added to the same directory, despite using a different
name. It also seems to be related to the older w90x900/nuc9xx platform
that was removed last year"

Few drivers implement remove call-back only for ensuring a delayed
work gets cancelled prior driver removal. Clean-up these by switching
to use devm_delayed_work_autocancel() instead.
This change is compile-tested only. All testing is appreciated.

MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICE was added in pre-git era and never was
implemented. We can safely remove it, because the kernel has grown
to have many more reliable mechanisms to determine if device is
supported or not.

Add Watchdog support for ROHM BD9576MUF and BD9573MUF PMICs which are
mainly used to power the R-Car series processors. The watchdog is
pinged using a GPIO and enabled using another GPIO. Additionally
watchdog time-out can be configured to HW prior starting the watchdog.
Watchdog timeout can be configured to detect only delayed ping or in
a window mode where also too fast pings are detected.

The driver core ignores the return value of mei_cl_device_remove() so
passing an error value doesn't solve any problem. As most mei drivers'
remove callbacks return 0 unconditionally and returning a different value
doesn't have any effect, change this prototype to return void and return 0
unconditionally in mei_cl_device_remove(). The only driver that could
return an error value is modified to emit an explicit warning in the error
case.

As per register documentation, QCOM_WDT_ENABLE_IRQ which is BIT(1)
of watchdog control register is wakeup interrupt enable bit and
not related to bark interrupt at all, BIT(0) is used for that.
So remove incorrect usage of this bit when supporting bark irq for
pre-timeout notification. Currently with this bit set and bark
interrupt specified, pre-timeout notification and/or watchdog
reset/bite does not occur.

The MEI bus has a special behavior on suspend it destroys
all the attached devices, this is due to the fact that also
firmware context is not persistent across power flows.
If watchdog on MEI bus is ticking before suspending the firmware
times out and reports that the OS is missing watchdog tick.
Send the stop command to the firmware on watchdog unregistered
to eliminate the false event on suspend.
This does not make the things worse from the user-space perspective
as a user-space should re-open watchdog device after
suspending before this patch.

freeze and it doesn't reboot by watchdog problem
Before user space daemon start to access the watchdog device,
there is a time interval that watchdog is disabled in the
original flow. If the system freezing at this interval, it
cannot be rebooted by watchdog hardware automatically.
In order to solve this problem, the watchdog hardware should be
kept working, and start hrtimer in framework to ping it by
setting max_hw_heartbeat_ms and HW_RUNNING used in
watchdog_need_worker to determine whether the worker should be
started or not. Besides the redundant setting of max_timeout is
also removed.
