2025-03-20drm/bridge: Add encoder parameter to drm_bridge_funcs.attachMaxime Ripard
The drm_bridge structure contains an encoder pointer that is widely used by bridge drivers. This pattern is largely documented as deprecated in other KMS entities for atomic drivers. However, one of the main use of that pointer is done in attach to just call drm_bridge_attach on the next bridge to add it to the bridge list. While this dereferences the bridge->encoder pointer, it's effectively the same encoder the bridge was being attached to. We can make it more explicit by adding the encoder the bridge is attached to to the list of attach parameters. This also removes the need to dereference bridge->encoder in most drivers. It's pretty inconvenient to access the full atomic state from drm_bridges, so let's change the atomic_post_disable hook prototype to pass it directly. 2025-02-10drm/bridge: tc358762: remove unused drm_panel.h include, add drm_bridge.hLuca Ceresoli

2023-06-22drm/bridge: tc358762: Handle HS/VS polarityMarek Vasut
Add support for handling the HS/VS sync signals polarity in the bridge driver, otherwise e.g. DSIM bridge feeds the TC358762 inverted polarity sync signals and the image is shifted to the left, up, and wobbly. 2023-06-22drm/bridge: tc358762: Split register programming from pre-enable to enableMarek Vasut
Move the register programming part, which actually enables the bridge and makes it push data out of its DPI side, into the enable callback. The DSI host like DSIM may not be able to transmit commands in pre_enable, moving the register programming into enable assures it can transmit commands. 2022-07-09drm/mipi-dsi: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König
All implementations return 0 and the return value of mipi_dsi_drv_remove() is ignored anyhow. So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour.
