2021-10-08media: ipu3-cio2: Parse sensor orientation and rotationFabian Wüthrich
The sensor orientation is read from the _PLC ACPI buffer and converted to a v4l2 format. The sensor rotation is read from the SSDB ACPI buffer and converted into degrees. We still need to drop reference count on error path, and to achieve that, replace sensor->adev by locally assigned adev. 2021-06-17media: v4l2-subdev: add subdev-wide state structTomi Valkeinen
We have 'struct v4l2_subdev_pad_config' which contains configuration for a single pad used for the TRY functionality, and an array of those structs is passed to various v4l2_subdev_pad_ops. I was working on subdev internal routing between pads, and realized that there's no way to add TRY functionality for routes, which is not pad specific configuration. Adding a separate struct for try-route config wouldn't work either, as e.g. set-fmt needs to know the try-route configuration to propagate the settings. This patch adds a new struct, 'struct v4l2_subdev_state' (which at the moment only contains the v4l2_subdev_pad_config array) and the new struct is used in most of the places where v4l2_subdev_pad_config was used. All v4l2_subdev_pad_ops functions taking v4l2_subdev_pad_config are changed to instead take v4l2_subdev_state. The changes to drivers/media/v4l2-core/v4l2-subdev.c and include/media/v4l2-subdev.h were written by hand, and all the driver changes were done with the semantic patch below. The spatch needs to be applied to a select list of directories. When we continue, due to device is disabled, loop we have to drop reference count. When we have an array full of devices we have to also drop the reference count. Note, in this case the cio2_bridge_unregister_sensors() is called by the caller. The driver uses v4l2_get_link_freq() helper to obtain the link frequency using the LINK_FREQ but also the PIXEL_RATE control. The divisor for the pixel rate derived link frequency was wrong, missing the bus uses double data rate. Fix this. 2021-02-06media: v4l2-async: Improve v4l2_async_notifier_add_*_subdev() APILaurent Pinchart
The functions that add an async subdev to an async subdev notifier take as an argument the size of the container structure they need to allocate. This is error prone, as passing an invalid size will not be caught by the compiler. Wrap those functions in macros that take a container type instead of a size, and cast the returned pointer to the desired type. The compiler will catch mistakes if the incorrect type is passed to the macro, as the assignment types won't match. 2021-02-06media: v4l2-async: Clean v4l2_async_notifier_add_fwnode_remote_subdevEzequiel Garcia
Change v4l2_async_notifier_add_fwnode_remote_subdev semantics so it allocates the struct v4l2_async_subdev pointer. This makes the API consistent: the v4l2-async subdevice addition functions have now a unified usage model. This model is simpler, as it makes v4l2-async responsible for the allocation and release of the subdevice descriptor, and no longer something the driver has to worry about. On the user side, the change makes the API simpler for the drivers to use and less error-prone. 2021-01-12media: ipu3-cio2: Build only for x86Andy Shevchenko
According to the original code in the driver it was never assumed to work with big page sizes: unsigned short type followed by PAGE_SHIFT and PAGE_MASK which may be different on non-x86 architectures. Recently LKP found an issue on non-x86 architectures due to above mentioned limitations. Since Sakari acknowledges that it's not really useful to be able to compile this elsewhere, mark it x86 only.
