2021-06-03net:cxgb3: replace tasklets with worksÍñigo Huguet
OFLD and CTRL TX queues can be stopped if there is no room in their DMA rings. If this happens, they're tried to be restarted later after having made some room in the corresponding ring. The tasks of restarting these queues were triggered using tasklets, but they can be replaced for workqueue works, getting them out of softirq context. This queues stop/restart probably doesn't happen often and they can be quite lengthy because they try to send all pending skbs. Moreover, given that probably the ring is not empty yet, so the DMA still has work to do, we don't need to be so fast to justify using tasklets/softirq instead of running in a thread. 2021-05-19cxgb4: avoid accessing registers when clearing filtersRaju Rangoju
Hardware register having the server TID base can contain invalid values when adapter is in bad state (for example, due to AER fatal error). Reading these invalid values in the register can lead to out-of-bound memory access. So, fix by using the saved server TID base when clearing filters. 2021-05-05net:CXGB4: fix leak if sk_buff is not usedÍñigo Huguet
An sk_buff is allocated to send a flow control message, but it's not sent in all cases: in case the state is not appropiate to send it or if it can't be enqueued. In the first of these 2 cases, the sk_buff was discarded but not freed, producing a memory leak. Signed-off-by: Íñigo Huguet <ihuguet@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2021-04-15ch_ktls: do not send snd_una update to TCB in middleVinay Kumar Yadav
snd_una update should not be done when the same skb is being sent out.chcr_short_record_handler() sends it again even though SND_UNA update is already sent for the skb in chcr_ktls_xmit(), which causes mismatch in un-acked TCP seq number, later causes problem in sending out complete record. 2021-04-12cxgb4: Fix unintentional sign extension issuesColin Ian King
The shifting of the u8 integers f->fs.nat_lip[] by 24 bits to the left will be promoted to a 32 bit signed int and then sign-extended to a u64. In the event that the top bit of the u8 is set then all then all the upper 32 bits of the u64 end up as also being set because of the sign-extension. 2021-02-15cxgb4/chtls/cxgbit: Keeping the max ofld immediate data size same in cxgb4 ↵Ayush Sawal
and ulds The Max imm data size in cxgb4 is not similar to the max imm data size in the chtls. This caused an mismatch in output of is_ofld_imm() of cxgb4 and chtls. So fixed this by keeping the max wreq size of imm data same in both chtls and cxgb4 as MAX_IMM_OFLD_TX_DATA_WR_LEN. As cxgb4's max imm. data value for ofld packets is changed to MAX_IMM_OFLD_TX_DATA_WR_LEN. Using the same in cxgbit also. 2021-02-03chelsio: cxgb: Disable the card on error in threaded interruptSebastian Andrzej Siewior
t1_fatal_err() is invoked from the interrupt handler. The bad part is that it invokes (via t1_sge_stop()) del_timer_sync() and tasklet_kill(). Both functions must not be called from an interrupt because it is possible that it will wait for the completion of the timer/tasklet it just interrupted. In case of a fatal error, use t1_interrupts_disable() to disable all interrupt sources and then wake the interrupt thread with F_PL_INTR_SGE_ERR as pending flag. The threaded-interrupt will stop the card via t1_sge_stop() and not re-enable the interrupts again. 2021-02-03chelsio: cxgb: Replace the workqueue with threaded interruptSebastian Andrzej Siewior
The external interrupt (F_PL_INTR_EXT) needs to be handled in a process context and this is accomplished by utilizing a workqueue. The process context can also be provided by a threaded interrupt instead of a workqueue. The threaded interrupt can be used later for other interrupt related processing which require non-atomic context without using yet another workqueue. free_irq() also ensures that the thread is done which is currently missing (the worker could continue after the module has been removed). Save pending flags in pending_thread_intr. Use the same mechanism to disable F_PL_INTR_EXT as interrupt source like it is used before the worker is scheduled. Enable the interrupt again once t1_elmer0_ext_intr_handler() is done. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Andrzej Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>

2021-01-21cxgb4: remove bogus CHELSIO_VPD_UNIQUE_ID constantHeiner Kallweit
The comment is quite weird, there is no such thing as a vendor-specific VPD id. 0x82 is the value of PCI_VPD_LRDT_ID_STRING. So what we are doing here is simply checking whether the byte at VPD address VPD_BASE is a valid string LRDT, same as what is done a few lines later in the code. 2021-01-16cxgb4: enable interrupt based Tx completions for T5Raju Rangoju
Enable interrupt based Tx completions to improve latency for T5. The consumer index (CIDX) will now come via interrupts so that Tx SKBs can be freed up sooner in Rx path. Also, enforce CIDX flush threshold override (CIDXFTHRESHO) to improve latency for slow traffic. This ensures that the interrupt is generated immediately whenever hardware catches up with driver (i.e. CIDX == PIDX is reached), which is often the case for slow traffic. 2021-01-13cxgb4/chtls: Fix tid stuck due to wrong update of qidAyush Sawal
