When taking a network interface down (or removing a SFP module) after
the PHY has encountered an error, phy_stop() complains incorrectly
that it was called from HALTED state.
The reason this is incorrect is that the network driver will have
called phy_start() when the interface was brought up, and the fact
that the PHY has a problem bears no relationship to the administrative
state of the interface. Taking the interface administratively down
(which calls phy_stop()) is always the right thing to do after a
successful phy_start() call, whether or not the PHY has encountered
an error.

We have been requiring the supported_interfaces bitmap to be filled in
by MAC drivers that have a mac_select_pcs() method. Now that all MAC
drivers fill in the supported_interfaces bitmap, it is time to enforce
this. We have already required supported_interfaces to be set in order
for optical SFPs to be configured in commit f81fa96d8a6c ("net: phylink:
use phy_interface_t bitmaps for optical modules").
Refuse phylink creation if supported_interfaces is empty, and remove
code to deal with cases where this mask is empty.

Add support for the Fiberstore SFP-10G-T and Walsun HXSX-ATRC-1
modules. Internally, the PCB silkscreen has what seems to be a part
number of WT_502. Fiberstore use v2.2 whereas Walsun use v2.6.
These modules contain a Marvell AQrate AQR113C PHY, accessible through
I2C 0x51 using the "rollball" protocol. In both cases, the PHY is
programmed to use 10GBASE-R with pause-mode rate adaption.
Unlike the other rollball modules, these only need a four second delay
before we can talk to the PHY.

There are several places which open code comparing PHY IDs. Provide a
couple of helpers to assist with this, using a slightly simpler test
than the original:
- phy_id_compare() compares two arbitary PHY IDs and a mask of the
significant bits in the ID.
- phydev_id_compare() compares the bound phydev with the specified
PHY ID, using the bound driver's mask.

RS0 and RS1 signals to the transceiver. This is complicated by various

Swap the order of the rtnl and st_mutex locks - st_mutex is now nested
beneath rtnl lock instead of rtnl being beneath st_mutex. This will
allow us to hold st_mutex only while manipulating the module's hardware
or software control state.

There are a couple of locations in the code where we modify
sfp->state, and then call sfp_set_state(, sfp->state) to update
the outputs/soft state to control the module. Provide a helper
which takes a mask and new state so that this is encapsulated in
one location.

While testing a Fiberstore SFP-10G-T module (which uses 10GBASE-R with
rate adaption) in a Clearfog platform (which can't do that) it was
found that the PHYs advertisement was not limited according to the
hosts capabilities when using ethtool to change it.
Fix this by ensuring that we mask the advertisement with the computed
support mask as the very first thing we do.

Add support for WAKE_UCAST, WAKE_MCAST, WAKE_BCAST, WAKE_MAGIC and
WAKE_MAGICSECURE. This is only supported with the BCM54210E and
compatible Ethernet PHYs. Using the in-band interrupt or an out of band
GPIO interrupts are supported.
Broadcom PHYs will generate a Wake-on-LAN level low interrupt on LED4 as
soon as one of the supported patterns is being matched. That includes
generating such an interrupt even if the PHY is operated during normal
modes. If WAKE_UCAST is selected, this could lead to the LED4 interrupt
firing up for every packet being received which is absolutely
undesirable from a performance point of view.
Because the Wake-on-LAN configuration can be set long before the system
is actually put to sleep, we cannot have an interrupt service routine to
clear on read the interrupt status register and ensure that new packet
matches will be detected.
It is desirable to enable the Wake-on-LAN interrupt as late as possible
during the system suspend process such that we limit the number of
interrupts to be handled by the system, but also conversely feed into
the Linux's system suspend way of dealing with interrupts in and around
the points of no return.

A few PHY drivers are currently attempting to not suspend the PHY when
Wake-on-LAN is enabled, however that code is not currently executing at
all due to an early check in phy_suspend().
This prevents PHY drivers from making an appropriate decisions and put
the hardware into a low power state if desired.
In order to allow the PHY drivers to opt into getting their ->suspend
routine to be called, add a PHY_ALWAYS_CALL_SUSPEND bit which can be
set. A boolean that tracks whether the PHY or the attached MAC has
Wake-on-LAN enabled is also provided for convenience.
If phydev::wol_enabled then the PHY shall not prevent its own
Wake-on-LAN detection logic from working and shall not prevent the
Ethernet MAC from receiving packets for matching.

Introduce the W/A for packet errors seen with short cables (<1m) between
two DP83867 PHYs.
The W/A recommended by DM requires FFE Equalizer Configuration tuning by
writing value 0x0E81 to DSP_FFE_CFG register (0x012C), surrounded by hard
and soft resets as follows:
write_reg(0x001F, 0x8000); //hard reset
write_reg(DSP_FFE_CFG, 0x0E81);
write_reg(0x001F, 0x4000); //soft reset
Since DP83867 PHY DM says "Changing this register to 0x0E81, will not
affect Long Cable performance.", enable the W/A by default.

The DP83869 PHY on TI's k3-am642-evm supports both MII and RGMII
interfaces and is configured by default to use RGMII interface (strap).
However, the board design allows switching dynamically to MII interface
for testing purposes by applying different set of pinmuxes.
To support switching to MII interface, update the DP83869 PHY driver to
configure OP_MODE_DECODE.RGMII_MII_SEL(bit 5) properly when MII PHY
interface mode is requested.

commit 4bb7aac70b5d ("net: phy: fix circular LEDS_CLASS dependencies")
solved a build failure, but introduces a new config knob with a default
'y' value: PHYLIB_LEDS.
The latter is against the current new config policy. The exception
was raised to allow the user to catch bad configurations without led
support.
Anyway the current definition of PHYLIB_LEDS does not fit the above
goal: if LEDS_CLASS is disabled, the new config will be available
only with PHYLIB disabled, too.
Hide the mentioned config, to preserve the randconfig testing done so
far, while respecting the mentioned policy.

The CBTX PHY is a Fast Ethernet PHY integrated into the SJA1110 A/B/C
automotive Ethernet switches.
It was hoped it would work with the Generic PHY driver, but alas, it
doesn't. The most important reason why is that the PHY is powered down
by default, and it needs a vendor register to power it on.
It has a linear memory map that is accessed over SPI by the SJA1110
switch driver, which exposes a fake MDIO controller. It has the
following (and only the following) standard clause 22 registers:
0x0: MII_BMCR
0x1: MII_BMSR
0x2: MII_PHYSID1
0x3: MII_PHYSID2
0x4: MII_ADVERTISE
0x5: MII_LPA
0x6: MII_EXPANSION
0x7: the missing MII_NPAGE for Next Page Transmit Register
Every other register is vendor-defined.
The register map expands the standard clause 22 5-bit address space of
0x20 registers, however the driver does not need to access the extra
registers for now (and hopefully never). If it ever needs to do that, it
is possible to implement a fake (software) page switching mechanism
between the PHY driver and the SJA1110 MDIO controller driver.
Also, Auto-MDIX is turned off by default in hardware, the driver turns
it on by default and reports the current status. I've tested this with a
VSC8514 link partner and a crossover cable, by forcing the mode on the
link partner, and seeing that the CBTX PHY always sees the reverse of
the mode forced on the VSC8514 (and that traffic works). The link
doesn't come up (as expected) if MDI modes are forced on both ends in
the same way (with the cross-over cable, that is).

The CONFIG_PHYLIB symbol is selected by a number of device drivers that
need PHY support, but it now has a dependency on CONFIG_LEDS_CLASS,
which may not be enabled, causing build failures.
Avoid the risk of missing and circular dependencies by guarding the
phylib LED support itself in another Kconfig symbol that can only be
enabled if the dependency is met.
This could be made a hidden symbol and always enabled when both CONFIG_OF
and CONFIG_LEDS_CLASS are reachable from the phylib, but there may be an
advantage in having users see this option when they have a misconfigured
kernel without built-in LED support.

The Marvell PHY can blink the LEDs, simple on/off. All LEDs blink at
the same rate, and the reset default is 84ms per blink, which is
around 12Hz.

Linux LEDs can be software controlled via the brightness file in /sys.
LED drivers need to implement a brightness_set function which the core
will call. Implement an intermediary in phy_device, which will call
into the phy driver if it implements the necessary function.

Define common binding parsing for all PHY drivers with LEDs using
phylib. Parse the DT as part of the phy_probe and add LEDs to the
linux LED class infrastructure. For the moment, provide a dummy
brightness function, which will later be replaced with a call into the
PHY driver. This allows testing since the LED core might otherwise
reject an LED whose brightness cannot be set.
Add a dependency on LED_CLASS. It either needs to be built in, or not
enabled, since a modular build can result in linker errors.

If the 1PPS output was enabled and then lan8841 was configured to be a
follower, then target clock which is used to generate the 1PPS was not
configure correctly. The problem was that for each adjustments of the
time, also the nanosecond part of the target clock was changed.
Therefore the initial nanosecond part of the target clock was changed.
The issue can be observed if both the leader and the follower are
generating 1PPS and see that their PPS are not aligned even if the time
is allined.
The fix consists of not modifying the nanosecond part of the target
clock when adjusting the time. In this way the 1PPS get also aligned.

If SFP module is not present, it is sensible to fail sfp_module_eeprom()
and sfp_module_eeprom_by_page() early to avoid excessive I2C transfers
which are garanteed to fail.

sfp->i2c_block_size is initialized at SFP module insertion in
sfp_sm_mod_probe(). Because of that, if SFP module was never inserted
since boot, sfp_read() call will lead to zero-length I2C read attempt,
and not all I2C controllers are happy with zero-length reads.
One way to issue sfp_read() on empty SFP cage is to execute ethtool -m.
If SFP module was never plugged since boot, there will be a zero-length
I2C read attempt.
# ethtool -m xge0
i2c i2c-3: adapter quirk: no zero length (addr 0x0050, size 0, read)
Cannot get Module EEPROM data: Operation not supported
If SFP module was plugged then removed at least once,
sfp->i2c_block_size will be initialized and ethtool -m will fail with
different exit code and without I2C error
# ethtool -m xge0
Cannot get Module EEPROM data: Remote I/O error
Fix this by initializing sfp->i2_block_size at struct sfp allocation
stage so no wild sfp_read() could issue zero-length I2C read.

Any multiplication between GENMASK(31, 0) and a number bigger than 1
will be truncated because of the overflow, if the size of unsigned long
is 32 bits.
Replaced GENMASK with GENMASK_ULL to make sure that multiplication will
be between 64 bits values.
