The 'outdata' is copied to the data buffer in cros_ec_cmd() before being
sent over to the EC. Mark the argument as const so that callers can pass
const pointers to this function and so that callers know the data won't
be modified.

The TWL4030 is actually only ever populated from the device tree,
so we can just pass the right device and headphone jack GPIO name
to snd_soc_jack_add_gpios() and it will pick the right GPIO right
from the device tree.
The platform data patch is unused (no in-tree users of the pdata
method) but these can use GPIO descriptor tables rather than global
GPIO numbers if they need this.

Add a new CEC port count host command and use it to query the number of
CEC ports from the EC. If the host command is not supported then it must
be old EC firmware which only supports one port, so fall back to
assuming one port.
This patch completes support for multiple ports in cros-ec-cec.

Currently, received messages are sent from the EC in the cec_message
MKBP event. Since the size of ec_response_get_next_data_v1 is 16 bytes,
which is also the maximum size of a CEC message, there is no space to
add a port parameter. Increasing the size of
ec_response_get_next_data_v1 is an option, but this would increase
EC-kernel traffic for all MKBP event types.
Instead, use an event to notify that data is ready, and add a new read
command to read the data.
For backwards compatibility with old EC firmware, continue to handle
cec_message events as well.

Add a v1 of the CEC write command which contains a port parameter. Check
which versions of the write command the EC supports and use the highest
supported version. If it only supports v0, check that there is only one
port. With v0, the EC will assume all write commands are for port 0.

Reuse the top four bits of the cmd field to specify the port number.
The reason for doing this as opposed to adding a separate uint8_t field
is it avoids the need to add new versions of these commands. The change
is backwards compatible since these bits were previously always zero, so
the default behaviour is to always operate on port 0.

To support multiple CEC ports, change cros_ec_cec to contain an array of
ports, each with their own CEC adapter, etc.
For now, only create a single port and use that port everywhere, so
there is no functional change. Support for multiple ports will be added
in the following patches.

Add support for the WMI methods used to turn off and adjust the
brightness of the secondary "screenpad" device found on some high-end
ASUS laptops like the GX650P series and others.
There are some small quirks with this device when considering only the
raw WMI methods:
1. The Off method can only switch the device off
2. Changing the brightness turns the device back on
3. To turn the device back on the brightness must be > 1
4. When the device is off the brightness can't be changed (so it is
stored by the driver if device is off).
5. Booting with a value of 0 brightness (retained by bios) means the bios
will set a value of >0 <15
6. When the device is off it is "unplugged"
asus_wmi sets the minimum brightness as 20 in general use, and 60 for
booting with values <= min.
The ACPI methods are used in a new backlight device named asus_screenpad.

This converts the DS2404 to use GPIO descriptors instead of
hard-coded global GPIO numbers.
The platform data can be deleted because there are no in-tree
users and it only contained GPIO numbers which are now
passed using descriptor tables (or device tree or ACPI).
The driver was rewritten to use a state container for the
device driver state (struct ds2404 *chip) and pass that
around instead of using a global singleton storage for the
GPIO handles.
When declaring GPIO descriptor tables or other hardware
descriptions for the RTC driver, implementers should take care
to flag the RESET line as active low, such as by using the
GPIOD_ACTIVE_LOW flag in the descriptor table.

Siemens Simatic Industrial PCs can monitor the voltage of the CMOS
battery with two bits that indicate low or empty state. This can be GPIO
or PortIO based.
Here we model that as a hwmon voltage. The core driver does the PortIO
and provides boilerplate for the GPIO versions. Which are split out to
model runtime dependencies while allowing fine-grained kernel
configuration.

Expose various CPU and dGPU tunables that are available on many ASUS
ROG laptops. The tunables shown in sysfs will vary depending on the CPU
and dGPU vendor.
All of these variables are write only and there is no easy way to find
what the defaults are. In general they seem to default to the max value
the vendor sets for the CPU and dGPU package - this is not the same as
the min/max writable value. Values written to these variables that are
beyond the capabilities of the CPU are ignored by the laptop.

The LP55xx range of devices have an internal charge pump which
can (automatically) increase the output voltage towards the
LED's, boosting the output voltage to 4.5V.
Implement this option from the devicetree. When the setting
is not present it will operate in automatic mode as before.
Tested on LP55231. Datasheet analysis shows that LP5521, LP5523

A recent change to the OMAP driver making it use a dynamic GPIO
base created problems with some old OMAP1 board files, among
them Nokia 770, SX1 and also the OMAP2 Nokia n8x0.
Fix up all instances of GPIOs being used for the MMC driver
by pushing the handling of power, slot selection and MMC
"cover" into the driver as optional GPIOs.
This is maybe not the most perfect solution as the MMC
framework have some central handlers for some of the
stuff, but it at least makes the situtation better and
solves the immediate issue.

The Nokia 770 is using GPIOs from the global numberspace on the
CBUS node to pass down to the LCD controller. This regresses when we
let the OMAP GPIO driver use dynamic GPIO base.
The Nokia 770 now has dynamic allocation of IRQ numbers, so this
needs to be fixed for it to work.
As this is the only user of LCD MIPID we can easily augment the
driver to use a GPIO descriptor instead and resolve the issue.
The platform data .shutdown() callback wasn't even used in the
code, but we encode a shutdown asserting RESET in the remove()
callback for completeness sake.
The CBUS also has the ADS7846 touchscreen attached.
Populate the devices on the Nokia 770 CBUS I2C using software
nodes instead of platform data quirks. This includes the LCD
and the ADS7846 touchscreen so the conversion just brings the LCD
along with it as software nodes is an all-or-nothing design
pattern.
The ADS7846 has some limited support for using GPIO descriptors,
let's convert it over completely to using device properties and then
fix all remaining boardfile users to provide all platform data using
software nodes.
Dump the of includes and of_match_ptr() in the ADS7846 driver as part
of the job.
Since we have to move ADS7846 over to obtaining the GPIOs it is
using exclusively from descriptors, we provide descriptor tables
for the two remaining in-kernel boardfiles using ADS7846:
- PXA Spitz
- MIPS Alchemy DB1000 development board
It was too hard for me to include software node conversion of
these two remaining users at this time: the spitz is using a
hscync callback in the platform data that would require further
GPIO descriptor conversion of the Spitz, and moving the hsync
callback down into the driver: it will just become too big of
a job, but it can be done separately.
The MIPS Alchemy DB1000 is simply something I cannot test, so take
the easier approach of just providing some GPIO descriptors in
this case as I don't want the patch to grow too intrusive.
As we see that several device trees have incorrect polarity flags
and just expect to bypass the gpiolib polarity handling, fix up
all device trees too, in a separate patch.

The Ux500 is device tree-only since ages. Delete the
platform data header and push it into or next to the driver
instead.
Drop the non-DT probe path since this will not happen.

Previously, Polling mode was supported as quirk for SOC without DMA.
To provide more flexible support for polling mode, it changed to polling
mode when the 'dmas' property is not present in the devicetree, rather than
using a quirk.
