2021-01-07MIPS: init: move externs to header fileYanteng Si
This commit fixes the following checkpatch warnings: WARNING: externs should be avoided in .c files This is a warning for placing declarations in a ".c" file. This fix removes the declaration in ".c" and adds it to the common header file. 2021-01-07MIPS: Remove empty prom_free_prom_memory functionsThomas Bogendoerfer
Most of the prom_free_prom_memory functions are empty. With a new weak prom_free_prom_memory() we can remove all of them. Signed-off-by: Thomas Bogendoerfer <tsbogend@alpha.franken.de> Acked-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com>
2020-05-24MIPS: Fix exception handler memcpy()Ben Hutchings
The exception handler subroutines are declared as a single char, but when copied to the required addresses the copy length is 0x80. When range checks are enabled for memcpy() this results in a build failure, with error messages such as: In file included from arch/mips/mti-malta/malta-init.c:15: In function 'memcpy', inlined from 'mips_nmi_setup' at arch/mips/mti-malta/malta-init.c:98:2: include/linux/string.h:376:4: error: call to '__read_overflow2' declared with attribute error: detected read beyond size of object passed as 2nd parameter 376 | __read_overflow2(); | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Change the declarations to use type char[]. 2019-11-11MIPS: Loongson2ef: Convert to early_printk_8250Jiaxun Yang
early_printk.c is doing the same with early_printk_8250. Remove duplicated code. Signed-off-by: Jiaxun Yang <jiaxun.yang@flygoat.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Burton <paulburton@kernel.org> Cc: linux-mips@vger.kernel.org Cc: chenhe@lemote.com
2019-11-11MIPS: Loongson{2ef, 32, 64} convert to generic fw cmdlineJiaxun Yang
All of Loongson firmwares are passing boot cmdline/env in the manner of YAMON/PMON. Thus we can remove duplicated cmdline initialize code and convert to generic fw method. 2019-11-01MIPS: Loongson2ef: clean up loongson64 related codeJiaxun Yang
Remove unrelevent macros, defines and codes from loongson2ef mach. Also rename some defines to match new naming. Signed-off-by: Jiaxun Yang <jiaxun.yang@flygoat.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Burton <paulburton@kernel.org> Cc: linux-mips@vger.kernel.org Cc: paul.burton@mips.com
2019-11-01MIPS: Fork loongson2ef from loongson64Jiaxun Yang
As later model of GSx64 family processors including 2-series-soc have similar design with initial loongson3a while loongson2e/f seems less identical, we separate loongson2e/f support code out of mach-loongson64 to make our life easier. This patch contains mostly file moving works.
