2025-05-26net: lan966x: Fix 1-step timestamping over ipv4 or ipv6Horatiu Vultur
When enabling 1-step timestamping for ptp frames that are over udpv4 or udpv6 then the inserted timestamp is added at the wrong offset in the frame, meaning that will modify the frame at the wrong place, so the frame will be malformed. To fix this, the HW needs to know which kind of frame it is to know where to insert the timestamp. For that there is a field in the IFH that says the PDU_TYPE, which can be NONE which is the default value, IPV4 or IPV6. Therefore make sure to set the PDU_TYPE so the HW knows where to insert the timestamp. Like I mention before the issue is not seen with L2 frames because by default the PDU_TYPE has a value of 0, which represents the L2 frames. 2023-04-24lan966x: Don't use xdp_frame when action is XDP_TXHoratiu Vultur
When the action of an xdp program was XDP_TX, lan966x was creating a xdp_frame and use this one to send the frame back. But it is also possible to send back the frame without needing a xdp_frame, because it is possible to send it back using the page. And then once the frame is transmitted is possible to use directly page_pool_recycle_direct as lan966x is using page pools. This would save some CPU usage on this path, which results in higher number of transmitted frames. 2023-03-19net: lan966x: Don't read RX timestamp if not neededHoratiu Vultur
Whenever a frame was received to the CPU, the HW is timestamping the frame. But reading the second part it seems to be a expensive operations, so so change this such to read the second part only when rx filter is enabled. 2023-01-16net: microchip: vcap api: Use src and dst chain id to chain VCAP lookupsSteen Hegelund
This adds both the source and destination chain id to the information kept for enabled port lookups. This allows enabling and disabling a chain of lookups by walking the chain information for a port. This changes the way that VCAP lookups are enabled from userspace: instead of one matchall rule that enables all the 4 Sparx5 IS2 lookups, you need a matchall rule per lookup. In practice that is done by adding one matchall rule in chain 0 to goto IS2 Lookup 0, and then for each lookup you add a rule per lookup (low priority) that does a goto to the next lookup chain. Examples: If you want IS2 Lookup 0 to be enabled you add the same matchall filter as before: tc filter add dev eth12 ingress chain 0 prio 1000 handle 1000 matchall \ skip_sw action goto chain 8000000 If you also want to enable lookup 1 to 3 in IS2 and chain them you need to add the following matchall filters: tc filter add dev eth12 ingress chain 8000000 prio 1000 handle 1000 \ matchall skip_sw action goto chain 8100000 tc filter add dev eth12 ingress chain 8100000 prio 1000 handle 1000 \ matchall skip_sw action goto chain 8200000 tc filter add dev eth12 ingress chain 8200000 prio 1000 handle 1000 \ matchall skip_sw action goto chain 8300000 Signed-off-by: Horatiu Vultur <horatiu.vultur@microchip.com> Signed-off-by: Steen Hegelund <steen.hegelund@microchip.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Expose lan966x_switchdev_nb and lan966x_switchdev_blocking_nb to the lan966x_main.h file because they will be needed by the lag driver. Signed-off-by: Horatiu Vultur <horatiu.vultur@microchip.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2022-07-05net: lan966x: hardcode the number of external portsMichael Walle
Instead of counting the child nodes in the device tree, hardcode the number of ports in the driver itself. The counting won't work at all if an ethernet port is marked as disabled, e.g. because it is not connected on the board at all. It turns out that the LAN9662 and LAN9668 use the same switching IP with the same synthesis parameters. The only difference is that the output ports are not connected. Thus, we can just hardcode the number of physical ports to 8. 2022-04-27net: lan966x: Add support for PTP_PF_EXTTSHoratiu Vultur
Extend the PTP programmable pins to implement also PTP_PF_EXTTS function. The PTP pin can be configured to capture only on the rising edge of the PPS signal. And once an event is seen then an interrupt is generated and the local time counter is saved. The interrupt is shared between all the pins.
