2025-01-14wifi: mt76: add code for emulating hardware scanningFelix Fietkau
Preparation for supporting multiple radios on a single wiphy on devices where firmware does not support actual hardware scanning. 2025-01-14wifi: mt76: mt7915: ensure that only one sta entry is active per mac addressFelix Fietkau
When a client is roaming to a different AP interface, a duplicate wtbl entry can be created. This can lead to lost packets or aggregation issues until the old entry expires. In order to fix this issue, delete any conflicting entries from WTBL whenever a station is authorized. 2025-01-14wifi: mt76: mt7915: Fix an error handling path in mt7915_add_interface()Christophe JAILLET
If mt76_wcid_alloc() fails, the "mt76.mutex" mutex needs to be released as done in the other error handling paths of mt7915_add_interface(). 2025-01-13wifi: mt76: mt7915: Fix mesh scan on MT7916 DBDCNicolas Cavallari
commit c4f075582304 ("wifi: mt76: mt7915: fix command timeout in AP stop period") changes the behavior of mt7915_bss_info_changed() in mesh mode when enable_beacon becomes false: it calls mt7915_mcu_add_bss_info(..., false) and mt7915_mcu_add_sta(..., false) while the previous code didn't. These sends mcu commands that apparently confuse the firmware. This breaks scanning while in mesh mode on AsiaRF MT7916 DBDC-based cards: scanning works but no mesh frames get sent afterwards and the firmware seems to be hosed. It breaks on MT7916 DBDC but not on MT7915 DBDC. Fixes: c4f075582304 ("wifi: mt76: mt7915: fix command timeout in AP stop period") Signed-off-by: Nicolas Cavallari <nicolas.cavallari@green-communications.fr> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20240927085350.4594-1-nicolas.cavallari@green-communications.fr Signed-off-by: Felix Fietkau <nbd@nbd.name>
2024-10-23wifi: mac80211: call rate_control_rate_update() for link STAJohannes Berg
In order to update the right link information, call the update rate_control_rate_update() with the right link_sta, and then pass that through to the driver's sta_rc_update() method. The software rate control still doesn't support it, but that'll be skipped by not having a rate control ref. Since it now operates on a link sta, rename the driver method. 2023-09-30wifi: mt76: fix race condition related to checking tx queue fill statusFelix Fietkau
When drv_tx calls race against local tx scheduling, the queue fill status checks can potentially race, leading to dma queue entries being overwritten. Fix this by deferring packets from drv_tx calls to the tx worker, in order to ensure that all regular queue tx comes from the same context. 2023-07-31wifi: mt76: mt7915: fix power-limits while chan_switchRyder Lee
If user changes the channel without completely disabling the interface the txpower_sku values reported track the old channel the device was operating on. If user bounces the interface the correct power tables are applied. mt7915_sku_group_len array gets updated before the channel switch happens so it uses data from the old channel. The commit dc44c45c8cd0 added band_idx into mt76_phy, so switching to rely on that. Signed-off-by: Ryder Lee <ryder.lee@mediatek.com> Signed-off-by: Felix Fietkau <nbd@nbd.name>
2022-12-01wifi: mt76: mt7915: fix band_idx usageRyder Lee
The commit 006b9d4ad5bf introduced phy->band_idx to accommodate the band definition change for mt7986 so that the band_idx of main_phy can be 0 or 1. Accordingly, the source of band_idx 1 has switched to "phy != &dev->phy" or "dev->phy.band_idx = 1". We still use ext_phy to represent band 1 somewhere in driver, so fix it. Also, band_idx sounds more reasonable than dbdc_idx, so change it.
