2025-05-21wifi: mt76: mt7915: rework radar HWRDD idxStanleyYP Wang
The definition of MT_RX_SEL (for rdd_rx_sel) is mixed with the definition of HWRDD idx. For example, MT_RX_SEL2 is for background HWRDD idx, not an option of rdd_rx_sel. Therefore, add mt7915_get_rdd_idx as a helper function to get the HWRDD idx for each variants. Additionally, remove some parts of the code inherited from the legacy chips. 2024-09-06wifi: mt76: Avoid multiple -Wflex-array-member-not-at-end warningsGustavo A. R. Silva
-Wflex-array-member-not-at-end was introduced in GCC-14, and we are getting ready to enable it, globally. So, in order to avoid ending up with a flexible-array member in the middle of multiple other structs, we use the `struct_group_tagged()` helper to create a new tagged `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd_hdr`. This structure groups together all the members of the flexible `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd` except the flexible array. As a result, the array is effectively separated from the rest of the members without modifying the memory layout of the flexible structure. We then change the type of the middle struct members currently causing trouble from `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd` to `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd_hdr`. We also want to ensure that when new members need to be added to the flexible structure, they are always included within the newly created tagged struct. For this, we use `static_assert()`. This ensures that the memory layout for both the flexible structure and the new tagged struct is the same after any changes. This approach avoids having to implement `struct mt76_connac2_mcu_rxd_hdr` as a completely separate structure, thus preventing having to maintain two independent but basically identical structures, closing the door to potential bugs in the future. The MIB INFO command is fetching MIB_BUSY_TIME, MIB_TX_TIME, MIB_RX_TIME and MIB_OBSS_AIRTIME from the radio and filling out cc_busy, cc_tx, cc_bss_rx and cc_rx respectively. busy should be >= tx + rx >= tx + bss_rx but we don’t always quite see this. Sometimes tx + rx is a bit higher than busy due to inaccurate accounting, so this patch recalculates numbers to make them more reasonable. In previous, we only allow user to configure tx antenna mask contiguously (e.g. 0x3, 0xf). This patch allows user to configure tx antenna mask interleavingly (e.g. 0x5, 0x8). By setting proper antenna mask and nss, user can prioritized the signal of different antennas, which helps to test their performance in normal mode. Enable HE UL MU-MIMO in sta_rec_muru, which works on both ap and station mode. For sending trigger frames, one of the conditions fw uses is to check if mib rx airtime meets the threshold. There's a main control of mib rx airtime report register in fw, so we need to enable the register by mcu cmd instead of directly writing it, otherwise it will still be disabled by fw. Thermal cooling device support is added to control the temperature by throttling the data transmission for the given duration. Throttling is done by adjusting Tx period by given percentage of time. The thermal device allows user to configure duty cycle. Throttling can be disabled by setting the duty cycle to 0. The cooling device can be found under /sys/class/thermal/cooling_deviceX/.
