2024-11-26irqchip: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König
After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all platform drivers below drivers/irqchip/ to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. 2024-02-27irqchip/renesas-rza1: Convert to platform_driver::remove_new() callbackUwe Kleine-König
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove(). Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2023-04-13irqchip: remove MODULE_LICENSE in non-modulesNick Alcock
Since commit 8b41fc4454e ("kbuild: create modules.builtin without Makefile.modbuiltin or tristate.conf"), MODULE_LICENSE declarations are used to identify modules. As a consequence, uses of the macro in non-modules will cause modprobe to misidentify their containing object file as a module when it is not (false positives), and modprobe might succeed rather than failing with a suitable error message. So remove it in the files in this commit, none of which can be built as modules. 2021-09-22irqchip/renesas-rza1: Use semicolons instead of commasGeert Uytterhoeven
This code works, but it is cleaner to use semicolons at the end of statements instead of commas. Extracted from a big anonymous patch by Julia Lawall <julia.lawall@inria.fr>. 2019-07-09irqchip/renesas-rza1: Prevent use-after-free in rza1_irqc_probe()Wen Yang
The gic_node is still being used in the rza1_irqc_parse_map() call after the of_node_put() call, which may result in use-after-free. 2019-05-29irqchip: Add Renesas RZ/A1 Interrupt Controller driverGeert Uytterhoeven
Add a driver for the Renesas RZ/A1 Interrupt Controller. This supports using up to 8 external interrupts on RZ/A1, with configurable sense select. NMI edge select is not yet supported.
