2025-04-15lib/prime_numbers: KUnit test should not select PRIME_NUMBERSGeert Uytterhoeven
Enabling a (modular) test should not silently enable additional kernel functionality, as that may increase the attack vector of a product. Fix this by making PRIME_NUMBERS_KUNIT_TEST depend on PRIME_NUMBERS instead of selecting it. After this, one can safely enable CONFIG_KUNIT_ALL_TESTS=m to build modules for all appropriate tests for ones system, without pulling in extra unwanted functionality, while still allowing a tester to manually enable PRIME_NUMBERS and this test suite on a system where PRIME_NUMBERS is not enabled by default. Resurrect CONFIG_PRIME_NUMBERS=m in tools/testing/selftests/lib/config for the latter use case. 2025-03-14scanf: convert self-test to KUnitTamir Duberstein
Convert the scanf() self-test to a KUnit test. In the interest of keeping the patch reasonably-sized this doesn't refactor the tests into proper parameterized tests - it's all one big test case. 2025-02-12lib/prime_numbers: convert self-test to KUnitTamir Duberstein
Extract a private header and convert the prime_numbers self-test to a KUnit test. I considered parameterizing the test using `KUNIT_CASE_PARAM` but didn't see how it was possible since the test logic is entangled with the test parameter generation logic. 2024-08-01selftests: lib: remove strscpy testMuhammad Usama Anjum
The strscpy test loads test_strscpy module for testing. But test_strscpy was converted to Kunit (see fixes). Hence remove strscpy. 2020-06-04lib: make a test module with set/clear bitJesse Brandeburg
Test some bit clears/sets to make sure assembly doesn't change, and that the set_bit and clear_bit functions work and don't cause sparse warnings. Instruct Kbuild to build this file with extra warning level -Wextra, to catch new issues, and also doesn't hurt to build with C=1. This was used to test changes to arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h. In particular, sparse (C=1) was very concerned when the last bit before a natural boundary, like 7, or 31, was being tested, as this causes sign extension (0xffffff7f) for instance when clearing bit 7. Recommended usage: make defconfig scripts/config -m CONFIG_TEST_BITOPS make modules_prepare make C=1 W=1 lib/test_bitops.ko objdump -S -d lib/test_bitops.ko insmod lib/test_bitops.ko rmmod lib/test_bitops.ko <check dmesg>, there should be no compiler/sparse warnings and no error messages in log.
